Nusa Penida Island (West Trip)
Nusa Penida is a rugged island located southeast of mainland Bali, known for its dramatic cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and untouched natural beauty. Unlike the busier areas of Bali, Nusa Penida offers a wilder, more raw experience that attracts adventurers and nature lovers. What makes it special: Stunning Landscapes: The island is famous for iconic spots like Kelingking Beach, with its T-rex-shaped cliff, Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong with their natural rock formations and turquoise pools. World-Class Diving: Waters around Nusa Penida are home to manta rays, mola mola sunfish, and vibrant coral reefs. Manta Point and Crystal Bay are top dive sites. Less Crowded Vibe: The island is still relatively undeveloped, so you’ll find quiet beaches, traditional villages, and a slower pace of life. Getting there requires a 45-minute fast boat ride from Sanur, Bali. The roads are rough, but the views make it worth it. It’s perfect if you want dramatic scenery, great photos, and a break from Bali’s tourist hubs.
